About

Musa Arquitectos is an architecture and design studio founded in 1986 in Panama City, composed of two generations of architects: Musa Asvat, founding director with over four decades of experience, and Adel Asvat, the studio’s creative director. Throughout its trajectory, the firm has established itself as a collective committed to quality, sustainability, and timeless design. Constantly redefining the scope of architectural practice, Musa Arquitectos conceives each project as an opportunity to integrate conceptual clarity, innovation, and sensitivity toward context.

Its multidisciplinary team develops projects across various scales, programs, and typologies — from private residences to cultural, corporate, and public buildings. Guided by the principles of Musa Asvat, each proposal seeks to rethink the way we inhabit spaces, establishing a dialogue between architecture, people, and the environment.

The practice of Musa Arquitectos is distinguished by a rigorous and analytical approach, where every design responds precisely to the local conditions and dynamics of its site. Formal clarity, material honesty, the interplay of light and shadow, and meticulous attention to detail form the pillars of its creative process. Its vision positions architecture as a discipline capable of generating proposals that endure over time and evolve with the changing needs of society.

Values

Precision

Each decision stems from observation and a deep understanding of context. We work with precision—not as a technical end, but as an attitude toward detail. Every line, proportion, and material responds to a clear intention: to build with meaning.

Essentiality

We seek beauty in the elemental. We strip away the superfluous to reveal what is essential in form, light, and material. This pursuit allows us to create timeless spaces, where simplicity becomes an expression of depth.

Context

We design from the context: the environment—physical, cultural, or social—shapes our decisions. We understand each project as an opportunity to engage in dialogue with its landscape and contribute another layer to its story.

Collaboration

We believe in architecture as a collective process. Each project is the result of a dialogue between disciplines, perspectives, and sensibilities. Collaboration allows us to expand the possibilities of design, foster shared thinking, and build through difference.

Services

Architecture

Our architectural services are guided by the studio’s core principles and aligned with the demands of both local and international markets. We offer architecture grounded in user needs, current regulations, site analysis, and economic viability to ensure the development of high-quality projects.

As an architectural practice, we are conscious of our role and commitment to developing projects that enhance users’ quality of life while embracing innovative construction methods and sustainable solutions.

Interior Design

We focus on creating interior spaces aimed at achieving functional interior architecture—considering spatial layout, circulation, program, and other factors—to then allow lighting design, furniture selection, and material choices to complement one another within a coherent environment. Our service applies to both residential and commercial projects.

We define the project scope, budget, and schedule, as well as provide a shortlist of suppliers, general recommendations, and all necessary information to ensure the client has a clear action plan for completing the project.

Urban Design

We are aware of the importance of urban space and the impact our proposals have on it. For this reason, we design not only with urban planning in mind, but also with a focus on fostering harmony with the environment—approaching every element from the perspective of user experience and quality.

Our work ranges from the landscape design of residential and commercial projects, with all their variables, to the development of master plans that integrate the required infrastructure and diverse programmatic components.
