Located within an open landscape, the project has no real context and almost no surroundings, an opportunity that allows the Mausoleum to stand out as an individual object with a presence of its own.

The building can be described as a freestanding pavilion. Its massing is designed with orthogonal lines bringing balance and order to the building. The base is raised to separate the building from the ground, as a symbol of respect and honor those who have passed away. A main attrium allows floods of natural light to enter the building.

The use of glass at its lower level contrasts the solid character of its upper levels to represent a a gravity defying structure, almost as a levitating volume in which the program has carved openings.
